The current sidebar lacks several critical features:
  • Component hierarchy absent: it's challenging to locate components by their position in the hierarchy
  • Visibility concerns: there's no indication if a component is hidden within the app
  • Access to floating elements: difficulties in accessing elements like modals and pop-ups.
  • Mixed objectives: the sidebar blends actions, components, and app states, causing confusion.
  • Performance issues: users experience significant slowdowns on bigger projects.
The redesigned sidebar will address these shortcomings, providing a clearer and more efficient interface to improve navigation & performance.
